It’s amazing how much can change in a short space of time, and at the same time feel like nothing has happened at all. Back in June, I gave a brief update on my personal work-life, the Range Rover, and also gave you a brief insight into what was coming up here at Well Driven. Well, as you can probably tell by the lack of new car reviews and events coverage, a lot of the big and exciting plans have since either been postponed or cancelled altogether. As you may have seen on my various social media pages, I did manage to test the new Subaru Forester e-Boxer hybrid and the review for this will be up in the Review section very soon. Other than that, it’s been very quiet. I was invited to attend a few events including the annual SMMT Test Day at Millbrook Proving Ground, but like most events of this nature, it was pushed back to 2021.
I have also had some struggles away from the website which has made life rather difficult in recent weeks. You may or may not know that for the past year I have been working full time for a very well known motorsport company and at the end of September I parted ways with them which has left me in an uncomfortable state of uncertainty. However, there is almost always a silver lining with these things and as such, I have been in talks with a great collective of people to try and use this time to create something new and exciting for everyone.
Firstly, the Well Driven Approved page will be reignited in the coming weeks with some fresh new stock focusing on the modern classic theme. I have been working with some vehicle sourcing specialists and classic garages in the background to open up a buying and selling service designed to get people behind the wheel of that modern classic car they’ve always wanted in a hassle-free environment. Keep your eyes peeled for some superb hand-picked examples of some iconic mid-90s and early 2000s vehicles over on the Approved page soon!
In addition to this new service, I am also working on a new product range with the Well Driven resident photo-genius that is Rick of Sprite Photography but you will have to wait a bit longer to find out more about this. But rest assured, we are very excited to share this new product with you all very soon.
As I said before, we are looking to create an in-depth inventory of modern classic cars in the next few weeks, so if you are looking to sell your mid-90s to early 2000s car and want to talk to us, drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please also keep an eye on the Well Driven social media outlets below, and if you have a story about a car and you want to share it with all the Well Driven readers, please drop us a message via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram
