This beautiful 1964 VW Split-Screen Microbus was built in December of 1963 and registered in January 1964 in Oregon, USA and was lovingly named Tyler, after the owners son. It was then imported to the UK where it underwent an extensive restoration and recondition including a full engine strip down and rebuild with the addition of twin Dell’Orta DRLA 36 carbs and brand new twin-port heads to add a bit of muscle to the stock 1600cc engine. The bus has also had a full respray in the original stunning two-tone duck-egg green and cream to give the exterior the perfect SoCal look.
Inside, the microbus has been completely converted with a new rock’n’roll bed, new upholstery, removable picnic table, jump seat, custom-built cocktail cabinet, custom curtain rail, heater, sound system and many other additions to make this the ultimate Split-Screen camper.
This wonderful camper comes with an extensive history file including a full breakdown of all the recent restoration work along with original keys, invoices and mechanical works. The camper also has polished EMPI-style five-spoke wheels and a fully integrated modern sound system with Bluetooth connectivity.
The seller has stated that he would be interested in a swap or trade with money either way. Please get in touch to talk about what you may have to offer!
