Famously recognised as the last V8 car developed under the direction of the late, great Enzo Ferrari, the Ferrari 348 took its styling cues from the Testarossa and F40 and paved the way for the F355. The 348 was fitted with a 3.4 litre naturally aspirate V8 engine mated to a manual gearbox and this TS (Trasversale Spider) model also came with a removable Targa top.
The V8 produced 300hp to the rear wheels and due to its new lower and wider stance along with its new aerodynamic features, drove and handled far better than the previous variants of Ferraris mid-engined V8 sports cars.
This example is finished in the most desirable colour scheme, Rosso Red over Crema leather and is in beautiful condition. The car has benefitted from a full bare metal body respray and also a recent cambelt change including tensioners, oil seals, fuel filters along with all fluids and filters being replaced. It has also had both cam covers stripped and re-painted in its factory finish along with all ancillary parts replaced. All this along with the genuine Ferrari sports exhaust means that this car sounds as good it looks.
This 348 has been subject to an insurance claim many years ago where the vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear bumper and was classed as a Catagory D – Light Damage / Repairable vehicle but has been inspected by a Ferrari specialist and no trace of past damage could be found. The vehicle also retained all of its original panels. Since then, the vehicle has been in regular use and not had any issues.
