When first released in 2002, the SL55 was the fastest automatic car in the world – not many cars can claim that at any point in their production life, let alone many other cars that share the comfort and luxury that come as standard with the R320 Mercedes SL. Powered by a 476 BHP supercharged V8 engine, the SL55 can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds with a limited top speed of 155mph. The SL may have supercar performance, but it also has heated massaging leather seats, cruise control and a folding metal hard-top roof. The SL55 is fast becoming somewhat of a “young-timer” collectable and low mileage examples are becoming hard to find.
This absolutely fabulous Obsidian Black car is a 2003 model with a Graphite leather interior and it has covered just 28,000 miles from new and has only had 2 keepers. Along with the usual luxuries that come with the SL, this car also has the optional massaging seat, glass pano roof and BOSE sound system. It has also recently benefitted from an uprated Bosch intercooler pump, full exhaust replacement, service and MOT and has been looked after and maintained at no spared expense. Everything works as it should and the roof mechanism is faultless with no signs of any leaks.
This low-mileage and much sought-after SL55 is being advertised on behalf of a client and is located in Halstead, Essex. Viewing is strictly by appointment only. For more information, please call us on +44 (0) 7388 328 229
