When the Jaguar XK was launched in 2006, it sent the world’s automotive media into a frenzy. Ian Callum designed with an aluminium monocoque chassis, and a huge leap forward for Jaguar with regards to design and technology. The XK is the last in a long line of luxury 2+2 Grand Tourers from Jaguar and with this being the “last hurrah”, they certainly saved the best for last. The combination of a supple and cosseted interior paired with unspeakably beautiful design with an engaging and dynamic drive gives the XK a unique experience many other GT manufacturers strive to match.
This particular example is the convertible model finished in the much sought-after Metallic Racing Green paint and Ivory leather combination with Jaguar’s 4.2-litre V8 at its heart. Having covered only 46,000 miles since it rolled off the Castle Bromwich production line back in 2007, this well-loved XK has been maintained and love with no expense spared over the years. The current custodian has owned the car for 10 years and ensured the car has been properly cared for during this time.
Being the flagship vehicle for Jaguar, the XK comes with a plethora of options and driver aids including, but not limited to, cruise control, auto-dimming mirrors, heated memory seats, a full touchscreen infotainment system with Satellite Navigation, CD changer and phone, and front and rear parking aids. This car has also benefited from a battery conditioning system due to its low use and it comes with the complete Jaguar toolkit and wind deflector.
Low-mileage and original condition XKs are fast becoming modern classics with fewer examples available in such an iconic Jaguar colour specification.
