Launched in 1998, the XJR (X308) was Jaguar’s response to the German supers-saloon that was the E39 BMW M5. With a supercharged 4.0 V8 pushing out 370 BHP and special sports suspension, the XJR could propel from 0-62mph in just 5.6 seconds and it would keep accelerating all the way to an electronically limited 155mph. Even by today’s standards, the performance is hugely impressive and the communication between the driver and the car is unparalleled with other cars of this era., Finished in Anthracite with a spotless contrasting Ivory leather interior and dark maple wood, this particular example is the most sought after specification. Michelin tyres wrap the 7-spoke original 18” alloy wheels and all the original documentation and service history can be found with this vehicle covering the 82,000 miles it has covered in its 23 years. This is a truly exceptional example of an utterly iconic car. A modern classic that will only appreciate in value in the coming years.
The car has recently benefitted from 4 new Michelin Sport tyres and around £4,000 of preventative maintenance.
