2016 Westfield XI 1380cc Manual – NOW SOLD

  • stock # 134

From its humble beginnings in 1983, Westfield Sportscars began manufacturing the Westfield Eleven, a replica of the iconic Lotus Eleven produced in the 1950s to race at Le Mans. In 2004, over twenty years later, due to popular demand, the Eleven was re-launched as it was in 1983. An internationally renowned manufacturer of quality kit cars for discerning enthusiasts.

This beautiful example was built by an experienced and fastidious classic car owner and engineer. The car was built over a two year period, using all new parts and incorporating all of the extensive upgrades and refinements developed to the basic kit by the XI Owners Forums here in the UK and US. This is the highest specification and build quality Westfield XI on the market today, having covered under 400 miles since being completed.

The car has been built to the following specification:

  • Factory polished blue gel coat (£1200 option, but thicker gel coat is used when the body shell is polished by the factory)
  • All MG parts required were soured new from MGOC Spares or professionally refurbished
  • New Westfield wiring loom
  • Chrome suspension wishbones with uprated Protech double adjustable shock absorbers with revised spring rates (transforms the handling of the car as against the original Westfield shock and spring configuration)
  • Limited Slip Differential and uprated half shafts
  • Westfield supplier 5-speed gearbox with Deamon Tweaks Cubiscan Quickshift Gearlever
  • Bespoke made MWS 5.0×15 72 spoke and 5.5×15 70 spoke wire wheels with period looking 155HR15 Michelin XAS FF Tyres (15-inch wheels, as opposed to 13 inch MG Midget wheels, to improve looks and handling)
  • Bespoke handmade steering wheel with and hand-stitched leather and quick release boss
  • Period Lucas rear lights and light switchgear

The engine was built by Skiptune Performance Engineering to 1380 Stage 2 specification. New parts used included:

  • 50mm pistons
  • HD bearings and ARP fasteners
  • Piper BP285 camshaft, Cam followers, Crankshaft sprocket, Oil Pump, Clutch assembly,
